Mama Gloria's Cream Sherry Cake: A Refreshed Soul Favorite

Cake Ingredients:

●     1-Package of your favorite yellow cake mix

●     2-Packages of Instant Yellow Pudding 3.4oz size

●     4 eggs

●     1 cup sour cream

●     ½ cup Cream Sherry

●     ½ cup oil


Mama Gloria's Baking Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.  If you have a Teflon one, you only need to grease or spray with oil.

  3. Mix ingredients together. Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.  I use a stand mixer and blend for a few minutes.

  4. Pour batter into the prepared Bundt pan.

  5. Bake for 45 to 60 minutes.  I have baked this cake in several different ovens, and I start to check the cake at the 43 min mark.  I keep track of the times for each oven I use. The toothpick should only have a few crumbs on it when tested.

  6. Remove & Cool. Remove the cake from the oven and place on a cooling rack and let it rest for 10-15 min before flipping the cake over to cool completely.

  7. Dust & Serve. Dust the cooled cake with powdered sugar and serve.
